Once upon a time, in the bustling streets of Sydney, two business partners embarked on a culinary adventure that would change the Indian food scene forever. Far from their homeland, they found themselves missing the familiar flavors and comfort of their native cuisine. With one partner’s deep love for Momo, inspired by a connection to Sikkim, and the other’s passion for crafting unique desserts, they shared a vision of merging these two culinary worlds to create something extraordinary.
In the bustling streets of Sydney, Australia, a bold culinary vision took shape — to bring the vibrant flavours of India to a new land. Missing the familiar tastes of home, Icy Spicy was born to blend traditional Indian comfort food with a fresh, modern twist.
Today, the vision continues under the leadership of Indrajeet Magar (Inder), founder and driving force behind Icy Spicy. Hailing from Kolhapur, Maharashtra, Inder’s passion for diverse flavors and textures shapes everything we do. With double masters in business and a love for adventurous ice cream creations, he infuses quality, innovation and heart into every product.
Joining him on this journey are business partners Palash and Manoj, whose expertise and shared passion have been instrumental in taking Icy Spicy to new heights. Palash, a banker and hospitality graduate with culinary experience from the Taj group, brings a unique ability to turn small brands into big names. Manoj, with his extensive background in retail business transformation, supply chain logistics, and sustainability, ensures that every step of our growth is built on a strong and thoughtful foundation.
Inspired by the absence of authentic tastes in a new land, Inder introduced a fusion of cherished Indian flavors to Australia. After months of experimenting, he & his team perfected their vegetarian momo range featuring favorites like Masala Paneer, Spinach, Schezwan and Beetroot. Inder’s own recipes & curation led to 42+ varieties of Indian inspired & classic ice cream flavors such as Pink Guava with Salt and Chilli, Roasted Almonds with Saffron and Chikoo (Sapota) to name a few. Icy Spicy today offers a variety of street food options on top of their signature Momo & Ice Cream range.
“Icy Spicy – Indian Dessert & Momo Bar,” quickly became a local favorite with 12 stores Australia wide, offering a warm, welcoming experience where every bite delivers a slice of India.
As Icy Spicy’s popularity grew, so did the vision: to take this unforgettable food experience beyond Australia. To fuel this global journey, Scoops & Pearls was born — a new concept under the Icy Spicy Australia umbrella, dedicated to premium handcrafted ice creams and refreshing boba tea. Scoops & Pearls captures the same passion, quality, and authentic taste that made Icy Spicy a success, now crafted to delight customers across continents.
